The reversible mask features a pattern inspired by one of Bourgeois’ 2003 fabric drawings, reflecting her deep connection to textiles, sewing, and fashion. Across the strap, the embroidered phrase “Key to insomnia: peace or trust” echoes the artist’s own words from her mid-1990s Insomnia drawings, which she created during sleepless nights in search of rest.
